| Yorkie Puppies Stolen in Al Someone broke into a breeder's home in Birmingham, and assauted the grandmother who was in the home. They did this in order to steal seven Yorkie puppies. Knowing what they did to the grandmother, how would they treat the puppies?. These are vicious, cruel people. Please pray that the babies will be found by the police. I have such a fear of someone stealing Tucker. I leave all the TVs on throughout the house when we leave. I still worry. All owners of purebred dogs need to be especially on guard. People do steal these dogs, and it seems to be getting worse. Tucker's Mom |

| I've heard of cases like this, when a breeder advertises in the local newspaper and the puppies are stolen. At about $1,000 each, seven Yorkie puppies are valuable. A modern day Cruella DeVille. I hope the puppies are found quickly. |

| That is so sad, I hope the thieves are caught and prosecuted, especially since there was assault involved in the burglary. I also have heard of cases like this before. In fact the breeder my Yorkie came from in Honolulu was so paranoid about this that she wouldn't divulge her address, or let people come to her home, which results in less than optimal options to the buyer too.

| How terrible! I hope the grandmother will be ok. What low life scum to do such a thing. I hope the pdb catch them and they are put under the jail. Our society needs to get tougher on these kinds of crimes. Start taking fingers / hands for thefts and I bet we'd see crime drop. I'm praying the puppies get home safely.

| Unfortunately as the economy gets worse and the holidays get near this will probably happen more often. I hope the Grandmother is o.k. and that these puppies are found safe and the people who took them are prosecuted. |

| We're getting an alarm system (which we really don't need in this area). Is it wrong that the only reason I agreed to get it is because this is what I'm worried about |

| Yeah, especially in my neighborhood this is a big problem, but we made it to wear they can never touch my baby. Before I got her, my husband got an English Mastiff puppy. Someone ACTUALLY tried to steal him, so we got a burglar alarm. Also put padlock on crate. I know, they could always just take the crate, but English mastiff puppies arent exactly tiny, so the crate was decent size. Now, if they tried to break into my house, they would have to deal with not only an alarm, but a 217 pound guard dog.

| I dont think so, because if you feel about your baby like I do, you think of them as your child. And its natural to want to protect your family. We mostly got ours because break ins were real bad over here.

| That is just horrific, I can't believe how awful human beings can be sometimes. I hope the grandmother is okay, that the puppies all make it home safe, and that whoever did this gets punished to the full extent of the law...Which still wouldn't be enough!

| Not very smart. The total value of the puppies exceeds $500 which, I believe, makes it a felony! |
