| God forbid I wipe her paws off! Hey everyone!!!!!! So, I took the dogs out yesterday, and they decide they are going to go on a nice mud run! Fiona and Honey love running full speed in our yard! Being that Honey is a lab/pit mix, she doesn't get as muddy as Fiona does. I run in the house before they do, and grab a towel! Honey sees the towel and immediatley lays down for me, so I can wipe her paws and belly off. Well, Fiona runs away from me! I finally get her, wrap her up in the towel, have her in my lap, and she is showing teeth, growling, and trying to bite! I am so annoyed with her behavior! Does anyone elses dogs do this!?

| I have 4 yorkies and I have one female that does that to me all the time! She hates me touching her paws no matter what!!! When I bathe her, have to trim her nails, or even brushing her feet. It drives me crazy. The other three couldn't care less, they know when it's wet outside that mommy is going to dry their paws so they just line up and let me do it. But LuLu - it's a real chore. I thought it was just her. Glad to hear that there is another one out there too

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Does she do this often? Joey's never growled at me, I can't even imagine it, and showing his teeth, yikes, I wouldn't like that at all. A couple things might be going on. First of all I would rule out any problem that could be pain related, you know some dogs have a sensitive paw, or a nail that has been cute badly, and throw a fit if you touch it wrong. After you rule out Fiona being in pain, I think you need to takes steps to become the pack leader, and let her know you are the boss, this isn't EVER done aggressively, and if done improperly can cause more aggression on the dogs part. By the way, do you use the same towel for both dogs, Fiona may not like that!

She does not show teeth often, and trust me I know what needs to be done! With me being a vet tech for 7 yrs, I have tried anything, when she was little, she was handful, and I worked with her, I can now trim her nails with her being quiet, however, I have had to lean on her or put her up on the table to do so! I used the same towel, maybe that was the problem! I think having Honey around she is upset, since I've only had one dog since we got her! ha ha!

| Molly growls at me if i try to wipe her feet, so when we get back from a muddy walk, i have a washing up bowl just for molly that i put a couple of inches of warm water in. Before i take mollys harness off, i pick her up and plonk her in! i swish the water about and that is enough to get her paws clean, then lift her out and stand her on a towel and the jobs done!

| Have to Wipe Feet Almost Daily I have to wipe Pete and Dakota's feet almost every morning because the grass is wet and have been doing so for years. They both growl as soon as I begin but it's just a habit I think! They growl at each other, growl at toys, etc. It seems to be their form of communication. They don't like their feet wiped but don't show teeth and will always lick my hand or face. |

YT Addict | Lexi doesn't like me grooming her face or trimming her nails. She snorts and growls, but would never bite. She just wants to get away. I got so frusterated one day as I was trying to groom her that I was almost in tears. My boyfriend came in to help me and I couldn't believe my eyes as she laid perfectly still for him. He has some kind of control over her that I don't. Anyways all 4 of our dogs are trained to wait on the matt at the door until we say it's ok for them to come in. This gives them a chance to dry off and saves me the hassle of cleaning 16 paws.

| She doesn't mind her paws being wiped, but omg I can not brush her teeth for anything. She doesn't growl, but she is so squirmy I can't hold her down.. I feel like I could break a bone if I tried. I am definitely leaving teeth brushing and nail clipping to the groomer lol. I honestly feel really bad for the poor guy that has to deal with her haha.

| Gizmo HATES getting his face and paws trimmed! And omg bringing him to the groomers is a whole other story! I think the groomer hates him! He will NOT sit still no matter what and will constantly try to bite who ever comes near him with scissors, especially near his little toes!
