| Marking Well my vet told me to wait to fix my little guy Skyler (he is almost 7 months and just reached 3lbs) because he was too small and now he is marking all over the house. His appointment is next week but will he always mark from now on since he started already? I have 3 males and a female. One male doesn't mark and one does but wears a belly band. I'm a little nervous about the surgery because he is so small but my vet assures me that everything should be fine. What do you guys think? Thanks

| Rosemarie, Bailey was 3lbs 3ounces when he was neutered and he was fine, except the first night he cried a little because we were sent home without pain meds! I don't know about marking though, Bailey never did it. I hope things are going well for you!

| Thanks Darlene that helps a lot. He just seems so fragile still and I can't help but worry. I can't wait until it is all over.

| I think it depends on the dog. My first Yorkie Newman was neutered at 6 months old and NEVER marked accept for outdoors. Now, Beans we rescued at 6 months old and we had him neutered right away and he marked for about five or six months then seemed to stop, BUT will occassionally still lift his leg on something and that's in the house and outdoors It has gotton a lot better though and he only does it occassionally. | Bill. Congrats on your new boy. Where did you end up finding him? We just got a little girl. The boy the military family had found a great home with a woman that lost her husband and the woman's niece has a little Yorkie for him to play with. Elaine |
