| wants to be in bed with mommy, but.... Ramses would love to be in bed with me, not even necessarily to sleep for the night, but just for play time, BUT he has peed twice when I have had him up here. In fairness, I have a white comforter which might resemble a pee pad. It's odd because actually he's really, really good about using them, and this is his only accident spot. And it's an easy fix, just don't let him on the bed. But it's hard, he wants to come up, and I want him up with me, but I just can't stand the peeing on the bed and having to change and wash at midnight..... |

| Did you wash the comforter with vinegar or some enzyme cleaner after the accidents? Maybe he still smells his pee pee. Could you get a duvet cover? Remove the comforter to play or sleep?

| Can he get off the bed himself? IOW, do you have doggie stairs so he can get down to a pee pad if he needs to go? When mine were still small, they weren't allowed on the bed until they used the stairs regularly and knew where the bedroom piddle pad was. When they knew that, they could come up on the bed. Now, if they have to go in the middle of the night, they can get off the bed by themselves and use the pad as necessary. If he can't get off by himself and he has to go, he has no other choice but to use the comforter. It's a thought, at least. |
