| Yorkies on the go!! Just curious how many people take their Yorkie with them everywhere they go. And if so, where do you take them? And....have you ever been somewhere and were told that you could not have your Yorkie with you there? I have taken my Sophia to the pet food store, grocery store (once), and to church (Sat. night youth group - of course the kids love her!!) I'm just wondering if there are places where there are "NO DOGS ALLOWED!!"

| I take my dogs everywhere I can. My kids' schools don't allow dogs, so I have to leave them at home when I take them to drop them off. We just got back from a day trip to Los Angeles and both the dogs came with me - no problems with them not being welcome anywhere today!

| First Outing I took Sydnee for her first outing, we went to the Bank, Pet store and to Wally World. Not one person said NO DOGS ALLOWED. The problem was all the people we met wanting to touch her. She was in my purse and only her head kept coming out to look. I kept telling everyone sorry no we don't allow her to be touched except by family members. She really rode well in the car well except she kept wanting to sit on my shoulder, so I have a sweat shirt that I wear and I just zip her up in it. The doggy seat belt is still toooo big for her, and while in the car she wouldn't ride in my purse. Viki |

This is Schatzie's purse. She grew out of her last one. She loves this one and it also is airline approved which is a big plus to us since we air travel. It also has a hook inside if I need to attach it to her harness and short leash if I fear she might jump out. Yes, I have been politely asked to leave the premises one day when I walked into my hair dresser's holding Schatzie. They acted like I was spreading the plague or something. I politely made my hair appt. then walked out. She obviously was not a Yorkie lover, and I called her a brat under my breath!

| When it was summer I would bring Amber everywhere with us. But ever since it got cold and snowy it became harder to take her along. I really do not like her to walk in the mud and snow to much because she will get way to dirty. I have a 11 month baby which makes it difficult to carry them both when we go out. So I guess I will start bringing Amber along with us again when my daughter can walk without help. |

| We take Toto everywhere ... the only places we can't is the grocery, nice restaurants [unless they offer outdoor dining], and Wal-Mart! I hate Wal-Mart and generally don't go there unless it's an absolute necessity! We took her in Target and they didn't object! She is happy in her bag and never gets out when we are shopping. We rarely go places that won't allow her! I really don't understand some of the policies [a place that sells food, yes, I understand] ... for heaven's sake, I see people that are not as clean as Toto in some of these places! Besides ... don't they realize they are losing money? I know I am not the only "shopaholic" that shops and doesn't look at price tags!!

| I take Snoodles with me anytime I can. I don't have a purse for her, so I think I will look into that. Wal-Mart let her in one time, and the next time wouldn't! I guess it depends on who is manning the doors! I hate leaving her home when we go to dinner, but it can't be helped, I guess! Pat |

| Keena goes to the bank with me, and me and my boyfriend take her fishing sometimes, but she gets car sick easily. She is fine if she is in the back seat by herself! She also likes to play with her beagle friend saydee! (My friends that are a couple.. we went to school with!)

| When my boys were puppies I got them into WalMart, they saw them and asked me to leave, and I told them, I am not going to be here long, know exactly what I want and then I will leave. They let me go in. My beef is that none of the picture studios, walmart, penneys, sears here will take portraits of my babies. Seeing some of the runny noses on these toddlers makes me think that at least I know my dogs are healthy. |

| I take Tinker EVERYWHERE!! I hate leaving her home. Unfortunately I have been kicked out of a couple places. One day I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they told me I had to leave eventhough I had Tinker in a little dog purse. My said she went back the next day and they had a sign in the window that said NO DOGS. I have also been asked to leave Walmart everytime I go. I have been to different ones and they all tell me I can't have her in there. So I now go to Target where the manager even comes out to say hi. I can understand big dogs, but seriously what is a 2 1/2 lb dog going to do. I don't let her touch anything, and she doesn't bark, but whatever. Can you tell I'm a little bitter? Just kidding =). |

| If any of the Wal-Marts or Targets carry food (ie Super Wal-Mart and Target) then I can totally understand not allowing dogs. It's against health code and they can be closed down (even just for a small 2 lb dog). I can't really take Ranger many places around here as no one is pet friendly except the Pet Stores. He does get to travel when we go see family, but that's about it.

| I have been to the grocery store with Tink all the time and they have never said anything, but I do live in Austin,TX which is supposed to be very dog friendly. I think it all depends on where you live. Some places are very relaxed about dogs, and some are not. Most the places here don't care, but I always worry about walking by someone who is extremely allergic to dogs. I mean how awful would you feel if you walked next to someone who had a reaction? I would feel terrible. |

| Huh that's funny, we visited my SIL in Austin a few months ago and went to Toys R Us and they wouldn't let Ranger in. We even tried another store around that strip and they said no too. The poor guy had to wait in the car for a few minutes unitl it was time to leave; thank goodness it was pretty outside and we could crack the windows!!

| Hmm. I have been to Toys R Us here and didn't have a problem. I take her to the mall, grocery store, to the salon, and a lot of other places. I guess I have just been lucky then. I just moved her about 2 years ago and was told Austin was supposed to be dog friendly, but maybe that's wrong. I just noticed that you're from Dallas, how are they there? My brother and his family live in Southlake. |
