Laying on vent Does your baby do that? Odie stands over it, and Tila lays on it. Trying to keep warm. Hmmm, I'm going to have to see if I can find jammies for these two. I have two for Tila, but I think I may need warmer ones.

Our vent is the first place Tootsie heads to in the morning, and if we can't find her, this is where she will be. They sure know where to find warmth when they need it, don't they?

keeping warm We keep our bedroom cool in the winter so I got some red thermal jammies from Foster and Smith, they are so cute. With those and all her blankets she keeps plenty warm. It seems like everytime I go to the thrify shop I bring home a baby blanket and stuffed toy for Belle. the stuff toy lasts about an hour before it gets de-stuffed and the blanket gets dragged to her kennel. She has one of the hard shell crates and she wants them all in there. I started her out in the crate when we got her and it's been great, she's just like a parrot. I have a fuzzy black throw blanket that I cover it with at night or if I nap during the day and she never makes a sound until she hears me get up. I thought the inside of the crate walls felt cold. It sits next to an outside wall. So I lined the botton half with fleece and cut out the areas when it snaps together, works great.

keeping warm I knew I had seen something else I was going to mention for keeping our furbabies warm. On TV they had an ad for a warmer. It's a round pad covered with sheepskin I think and it plugs in but the cord is wrapped with a coil of wire like a spring so they can't chew on it. I will have to search the internet as I can't remember the name. When we got Belle I made corn packs for her to cuddle with to keep wrm as she didn't have her litter mates. It's just denim material and whole dried corn that you microwave, then I tucked it under her blanket and it stayed warm almost all night. If anyone wants to make on let me know. They are also great for us too as the warmth feels good on sore muscles and arthritis.

Abby likes to lie right next to the vent, between the vent and the wall. I don't think she does it for warmth because she did it when the air conditioning was on too. I think she likes the air blowing on her, like dogs that stick their heads out the car window.
