| Qestion about bathing My Lexy is an imperfect silky - mats VERY easily. When I bath her, I brush (using a spray on conditioner) then bathe gently without roughing the hair. I soak her in conditioner and let it set 2 minutes, then rinse. She combs out nicely BUT is NEVER as soft and silky as when I take her to the groomer. She comes out of there looking like a princess (of course) but her hair is soooo soft and silky. Do they have a "secret" product? Is it because they dry her first? I don't blow her dry because I don't have enough hands. She dries quickly. I brush her out wet and finish dry. Then I use Liquid Silk on her but still she is just not quite as nice as the groomer makes her. Any groomers in our bunch? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Jeanne |

| Chachi has hair that matts easily and what i do for him is when I condition the hair I take a brush through his hair with the conditioner on before I rinse. Then I lightly brush when I put the spray conditioner on. I use CC products. His hair which is extremely tangly is soft silky and shiny.

| Why didn't I think of that - combing the conditioner through. <G> Will certainly try that. Sounds like your little guy has identical hair to my Lexy's. Also, will try blow drying to see if that helps. Love this forum, Jeanne |

They sell them through most grooming/pet supply outlets, but I got mine from PetEdge. I've also seen the innovate folks at dogs shows tuck the hair dryer under their belt and that'll work in a pinch. Before I got my third arm, I put the handle of the hair dryer into a ceramic pitcher my sister made for me. The bottom was really thick and heavy and that worked pretty well. If you think it might be the products the groomers are using, just ask them to sell you some. | |

| Blow drying works for Princess, I would also use what your groomer is using. I'm sure they will sell it to you. There has to be a few groomers on this site with the right answers. Good luck!
