| Huge Scare This Morning! I just had a huge scare this morning. I still feel a little shaky. When I got home from the bus route, I came in the house to let the dogs outside to potty. It was misty out so I let them out and hurried to the potty myself and then went to let them in. They were all there except Joey. I called and he didn't come. I went and looked in our small fenced area and he wasn't there. I came back in the house and counted dogs and then ran out to find him. I was in such a panic mode. I ran out and for some reason ran out to the front of the house first before checking the back and I was screaming for Joey. Finally I saw him on the other side of the yard running towards the road. There were no cars coming thank God, but I was in such a state! He came running to me and was soaked. I was hugging him so tight he squealed a little in pain...poor guy. I just love him so much and if anything ever happened to him I just don't know if I could handle it. I sat on the living room floor hugging him, crying and thanking God for keeping my little love safe. I'll pee my pants before I let them out by themselves again.

| I bet you were in a panic. I am glad you caught him. Tragedy can strike in just seconds. Did you figure out how he got out? |

| Oh, that would worry me. The best way to find out is to let them out in their fenced area and then go out front and see if the little stinker can come to you. It is amazing how some of these dogs can be like a little houdini. Like you said though, it is best to always be outside with them. |

| I know the feeling. We have a big field backing up to our yard and rabbits galore. I took Mosey out one night; I always carry him out and look around the yard for any rabbits. I did not see any so I set him down, he sniffed a little then took off!!! It's pitch black outside and he is barreling across the back yard!! Luckily, the dumb rabbit went to ground before he hit the field and Moses started smelling around for him. I finally got hold of him and took him back inside. No pee that night. Bad thing is, our yard is not fenced and he will not, repeat, WILL NOT pee if he is on a lead. So I am forever vigilant for rabbits, birds, dogs, etc. Three legs or not, that booger can fly! |
