| I'm SO guilty---I give Lillie Wheat Thin pieces! I DO! She absolutely loves Wheat Thin/Tomato Basil crackers! It's insane. I mean, I knew I grew up in an Italian family but I didn't know that my dog would catch the qualities, too! LOL I only break off about an eraser sized piece (about 3 or 4 only!) for her as a treat when I'm trying to teach her tricks (the cheese niblets have worn off, that's SO old news to her! HAHAHA) I'd like to know what kind of non-normal, non-harmful treats that others give their little ones, too!

| My crew LOVES honey nut cheerios for afternoon snack and lamb "roll arounds" for evening snack. Oh, they also love carrots, whenever I'm making anything with carrots they are all under my feet. Last edited by YorkieAZ; 10-29-2009 at 04:19 PM. |

| String cheese is the only treat Motley will do tricks for. I try to fool him with other things but if he doesn't see the strings he just looks at me like I don't think so. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | When we took a trick training class, Joey learned to hold out for string cheese, but I don't recommend it, he gained a pound during that class! I now use his regular food for training, and he loves frozen (thawed) green beans, and he's got his figure back! A tiny bit of Wheat Thins, isn't that bad, but they are high in salt, so you don't want to give too much. Dogs don't tolerate salt well.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I cheat...I have a small tin that I keep a couple treats in for Sir Tuffy. He goes nuts over the smells the treats have but I don't like to give him them very often but thought since he likes the smell so much I'd put some of his kibble in the tin too. He thinks he's getting treats but mom knows he's eating good stuff & not so much junk food. He loves carrots as well. I'm curious if chicken liver is a good or bad thing for Yorkies. Anyone know? |
