| Confused about dog shows Okay-I've been trying to look up info and learn about dog shows for a few weeks now. I finally found how to look up up-comming AKC dog shows on the akc site, but by looking into the groups that are hosting the shows, it seems to be really hard to tell which shows would be better to attend. I know there should be some yorkies entered at all of the "all breed" shows, right??? I want to learn about and observe showing yorkies and meet some of the people who are very involved in the yorkie show community. I have looked up many "kennel clubs" in the NC area and a lot of them state that they are "all breed" but many of them do not show any yorkie owners as being members. Does this mean that if they are hosting a show there may not be many yorkies entered? I hope none of these sound like dumb questions, but dog showing is something I know nothing about.

| You might ask in the breeder section. I am pretty sure that breeders have to show their mating dogs before getting AKC registration for a litter. |

PrinceAmos I am just starting out showing, matter of fact November will be my first showing with Polyana. I have shown with IABCA before with the Biewers. But with AKC you can show at a all breed and then there are local yorkie clubs that will host shows just for that particular breed. So check for Yorkie Clubs in your state as well. When you go to the AKC site there is the person in charge for that particular show and they usually list a email address you can always write to them and they may be able to direct you toward a Club that is not listed. I think there are other members that may be a little more informed, but this is a start.....
