| I hope they are able to help any animals that need it there! We just live about 1 1/2 hours from Memphis and are there all the time. We've even considered getting an animal from that shelter before. |

| I don't know what is going on here in Memphis. We have also had two incidents back to back where our local police officer shot two different family pets because they jumped on their legs.

| I live almost 2 hours from Memphis, but I have never been to the shelter there. Sadly, some people take advantage of their position and take their paycheck without doing the work. Memhis has had problems in other areas with corruption in public facilities I think. And shelters are usually underfunded anyway and have to depend on volunteers and donations. But the problem starts with so many irresponsible dog owners who don't get their pets spayed and neutered and then when they get pregnant they just drop them somewhere. One of my pet peeves! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | One can only pray that the right thing(s) are done there. Since moving to the south, sadly, I must say that I have never seen more cruelty to animals in one location before!

| They have the same team here who investigated the Michael Vick case. They are going to dig up some of the dogs to see why they died. The shelter is closed down and volunteers from ASPCA are taking care of the animals.
