| Did she want to be bathe? Ok, so I was getting ready in the bathroom after taking a shower and I heard Ruby barking and there she was waiting for me at the door. I opened and asoon as I opened she came in the bathroom and started sniffing. Well when I go to bathe her she never is really happy about it. Today while I was getting ready she jumped in the tub , so do think she wanted to be bathe. This never has happened before but I really like what she did. I really read her mind. The sad part is at that time I couldn't bathe her. |

| Your baby must be growing up! My daughters silky terrier LOVES to take a bath and will jump right in the tub while it is filling up with water- even if the bath wasn't intended for him!! The others love to play in the water and love to swim, but don't like bath time... |

| You know, Chewy used to HATE baths, but I realized one day that they are really sensitive to water temperature. If they are shaking, it's not fear and loathing...try amking the water warmer...if they start getting crazy-eyes and / or panting in that desperate way, then cool it down some. After a while, I found that perfect temp for Chewy and now I wouldn't say he LIKES baths, but it doesn't take two people to bathe him any more! In fact, recently I was almost done, realized I didn't have conditioner and told him: "chewy! Stay!" and went to the bathroom to get some. When I came back he was sitting in the sink. He looked unhappy, but that's a very far cry from how it used to be. |

| You're right about the water temp- a dog's normal body temp is somewhere around 101.2, where as ours is 98.6- so what feels a tad too warm to us feels pretty good to a dog. When I realized the temperature difference I started bathing my babies in slightly warmer temps than before and I could tell immediately they enjoyed it more- no more shivering. |

| I have six who hate water and baths. When I take off their harnesses they run hide. I track them down individually to bathe them. Zowie used to shiver, but now she just stands like a statue. Everyone else stands at the edge of the tub with their front paws racing. Two are 2 and 4 are 5 months. We also have a pool, and I really hoped they would be water dogs. I guess the one thing I am thankful for is they don't mind the wet grass.

| I wish Gracie and Sammie liked baths. When I run the shower to get ready for their pretty time, Sammie just stands there and shakes and Gracie takes off!
