| Does anyone's Yorkie do this??????? I take Ruby for a walk in the dog park daily and every time a big dog (lab size) comes to say hi to her she will run yelping to me. Like it is so loud that people stop what their doing to look and the owner of the dog comes over and asks if there dog stepped on her or something and trys to appologize. It's kind of embaressing because she sounds like she's being tortured. She's completely fine with average sized dogs and never yelps like that any other time (She's usually like's to play rough and get dirty). Does anyone know of anything i can do to pervent her from doing this? She has never been hurt by another dog either. I'm also getting another Yorkie soon so i was wondering if by her having a sister with her if it would give her more confidence?! |

| Hi, my dog does not do this, but I saw the Dog Whisperer on Oprah the other day. She had gotten 3 new puppies and was wanting to know the best way to introduce the new puppies to her cockers. Well he said, never introduce new dogs face to face, it is to stressful. You should bring your dog's butt to the new dogs face and visa versa. So I would try picking up your baby, and introducing your puppy to the bigger dog by having your puppy smell it's butt. (I know it's sounds strange, but I would trust him on this) that might help. What Millie does, when she comes into contact with a bigger dog is she will go up to it, but she will roll over on her back in a submissive way and let the big dog see that there is no reason for it to be mean to her. good luck |

| My dogs were afraid of bigger dogs when they were little but have grown out of it as they have gotten bigger.

| I think LadyLavender hit a point...Maximus will go nose to nose but then will go immediately to sniff their butts...lol, he is IN LOVE with this golden retriever and she is soo good with him..because he stays up her ass the whole time at the dog park..he could care less about any other dog..and he must bug the cr** out of her but she just takes it and he follows..sniffing!!

Trace does the drop and submit role. He'll actually run up to a big dog and then flop over. He thinks EVERYONE is his friend

| Yeah, Tigger doesn't do that, instead what he does is run up to big dogs and jump up in their face, then he'll sometimes play submissive to them and flip over. sometimes it's like him saying " look I'm a boy! what do you think?" it's too cute. The only real time he plays the submissive role is with my boyfriend and I. Like when we go to pick him up outside and well he does it indoors too. Kind of cute. |

| Nope, Stomper runs to them not away. Kind of scary, but he likes all dogs no matter what size, shape or color! No discrimination here!

| Princess ran up to a big dog at the vets, the owner was so scared, all the other little babies were up on their mom's lap, Not Princess, she wanted to play, she didn't know she was there for a shot. I told the owner she has her own Rotti at home. He just laughed, and said she was cute, maybe his wife could get a Yorkie too.

| Parker kisses every dog he meets, no matter what the size! Actually the bigger the better...the only dog to actually put the run on him was my buddy's little 12pound pug! (but they warmed up to eachother after a few minutes) But ya, he's friendly with everybody, kisses them and then starts pouncing at them to play with him...very friendly |

Mollie will go up to a dog if she is on her leash. She's not aggressive. When we are at the dog park if there are any big dogs around now they are separated from the little ones. She will run over to me and scratch me on the legs until I pick her up. She was jumped a few months back by a big dog and she still hasn't quite gotten over it.

That's exactly what Rowdy does too - he seems to love all dogs and he runs right up to them, drops and rolls over belly up. I'm terrified some time that a dog is just going to eat him right there on the spot. He's so little he'd only make one bite!!!
