| Brushing teeth No matter what I try to do to get Auti comfortable with messing with her mouth as soon as I bring the tooth brush near she runs away. She'll let me massage the outside of her mouth, she even taste the toothpaste a few times even bite the toothbrush but as soon as she thinks i'm about to start brushing it is no use..Does any one else have the same problem? And any advice on how to brush her teeth? I do want her to get use to this before her adult teeth come in but she is just not having it..Also any other alternatives if she continues with this scariness. I dont want to force her to do somethng she's not comfortable doing. Thanks in advance

| Hi I use Petzlife spray and gel, and I have tried and tried with a brush with Teddy and he is far from impressed to, so thank you for asking this question, I will watch replies with great interest, as I want to brush too.

| I sit on the floor with Callie before her bath and I use a finger brush and she always stays still because I never give her the chance to run away and she just got used to it I am very gentel and I probably dont do the best job but after I brush her teeth I give her a doggie mint that she thinks is like her treat for being a good girl and now she knows it as a normal weekly thing although shes not that fond of it and now I use oravet too my vet suggested it and u put it on there teeth to keep tarder off.

| the upside to having 4 and 5 lb dogs: you can hold them down and they can't do a thing about it Really though, my dogs struggle, but if I get it done quickly, they're ok with it. They REALLY didn't like it when we first started brushing. it's much better now.
