| 65 to 70 is ideal i think for my 10 pounder.. ,, she likes its kind of cold in the house.. but for a smaller dog, perhaps maybe alittle bit warmer.

| I try to keep my house a little cooler at night and about 70 during the day. Lola seems okay during the day, at night I can tell she does get a bit chilly, she likes to sleep under the covers though so she is nice and snug! lol Sorry Lola but my daughter likes it cool at night and I'd rather her sleep well at night then me being up two or three times because she needs a drink when it's warm |

| We try to be 'frugal' about the heat, so we just give them extra blankets in their crates, put sweatshirts on them, and they have towels covering their crates, and if its very cold we put a blanket over their crates. Our house is generally pretty cold, but my parents house is FREEZING, so we bring extra clothes for when we visit them and they're fine. |

| We have not turned the heat on yet and the place is about 62-65. The bedroom is a lot cooler as I keep a window open as long as I can. General Lee sleeps under the electric blanket with us. During the day while he is alone in an X-pen I keep a pillow and his kennel with a sheet and a blanket. So far so good. He is 11 pounds and only seems to show cold in his ears. Sometimes when we are outside he will shiver, but does not want to come in... very much like a child. |

| Well I don't like being cold & get cold very easily so my girls won't have to worry about ever being cold indoors..LOL Right now it's about 75(I'm feeling a little chilly now..) but as it continues to get colder, thru winter, my house will probably be around 79-80.

| I love the cold weather, right now it is 52 and the windows are open. However, Andromeda is 4.7 pounds and I do not want her to get chilled, so I always keep a heating pad around wherever we are at home. She has gotten so accustomed to this that whenever she wants it on she just scratches on it! That way we are both comfortable. |

| I can tell if mine are too cold. They will curl in in a tiny ball on a blanket or pillow and not be very active. Sometimes they hide in their crate (it's fabric and has warm fluffy pillows) or will want to snuggle close to me or sit on my lap all day. Usually I am cold before they are. If I can't turn the heat up (if my husband is warm ) I will put t-shirts or sweatshirts on them. They have a harder time now, adjusting to the cold after a hot summer. I bundle them up in coats and boots for the first snow but by January they are out there naked unless it's below 0. |
