| Scared of outside? Luna has finally had all her puppy shots! So today I decided to take her outside on a walk for the very first time. The second she hit the grass she started shaking and just would not move. Has this happened to any of you? And if so what can I do to warm her up to it and show her its not a scary thing?

| I had the same experience -- my little guy required 3 trips outside before he would even take a few steps. Then we were off and running. Every new surface -- pavement, concrete, grass, brick -- required several trials. Hang in there! |

| Give her a nummy treat each time she is on the grass. Make every new experience fun for her with treats and praise. Now is the time to get her socialized. Is there a play-date you could join? If not, maybe you could start one. (for small dogs of course.)

| Thank you SO much for both of your help. I'll bring her toys and treats and try to make it something fun. I guess I was just expecting her to be thrilled with being allowed to play. As for socializing I have started that since day one. We go to peoples houses with dogs very often, shes been out of state with me. Is there a thread I can look at playdates for yorkietalk? Hopefully theres one around my area!
