| so frustrated...DH let Harley go into a sticker bush I am so frustrated right now, I just spent an hour pulling and cutting stickers out of Harley's hair. DH thinks its so cute that Harley wants to go into bushes when they walk. I constantly tell him not to do this. Well today they came home and he is covered in stickers. I am so mad right now. I know DH didn't want this to happen but I don't understand why he thinks its ok to do when I contantly telling him this is going to happen.

| My heart goes out to you. I know it must have hurt you and Harley removing those awful things. It sounds like our husbands could be related somehow. We live on a farm and have horses, my husband will take Bella out to the barn with dirt floor and let her roll around, and he's so waiting for her to sneak a good roll in a pile of horse poo. Our cattle dog, Cheyenne is old and somewhat cranky, and they will growl and snap at each other, I get in the middle and he tells me not too, so if Bella gets hurt she will learn. Example Tues night we are sitting on the couch eating supper and Bella started to growling and snapping at Cheyenne. Bella 6 lbs, Cheyenne 55 lbs. well first time ever Cheyenne got both front feet on the couch right beside me and started after Bella snapping all the way, Bella didn't back down, I have plate in one hand trying to grab Bella with the other hand behind my back and in a split second Cheyenne grabbed my arm. She has never done that before. It hurt so bad, well I ended up shedding a few tears. Finally my DH got up to pull Cheyenne back. I wasn't about to move and I left my elbow in her mouth, I knew it would be safer for Bella. After it was all said and done, she did break the skin and my husband told me not to get in the middle of a dog fight again. I told him as hard as Cheyenne was biting me and shaking my arm she would done some major damage. I love them both and will protect them both. Over all I don't understand our husbands way of thinking. But they might not understand ours either. LOL |

| And that's why I keep a close eye on him. LOL Really he wouldn't let her get hurt, but if she got filthy he wouldn't want to wash her either. He gives me such a hard time about her. But I haven't told him half the info that I have found in my research since May on the breed. LOL I've been hoping he will look it up himself. Every time I mention something else, he just shakes his head. |

| Aww poor Harley. This will sound silly I know everyone refers to their husbands here as DH but what exactly does it stand for?

it stands for dear husband, but in this case I will say damn husband! I took Harley to get groomed so they trimmed him up and he looks better. Poor thing I had to put chunks of his hair under his chin and the tops of his paws.

| Wow...I am a lucky wife! My husband and I see eye to eye on matters of our Yorkies' safety and cleanliness. Anything that comes up, what I say goes, haha. You just have to put your foot down and not let up. That's what I do, and it works quite well. When they see that you were right, they realize how silly their point on it was.

| Glad to hear that he is ok... I am glad to hear that your baby is ok, I myself would be very annoyed having to pick all those stick tights out, and the poor pooch having to live through that.. Personaly I would say to my husband, that the next time he lets the dog walk through them HE is going to be the one combing them out. as reguards to the other baby that was almost bitten... I too get in the middle of a dog fight if it is for a smaller dog!! Infact I did just that this last week with my baby and one of my sisters dogs. OMG it scared me half to death. Will post about it here soon because I don't want to ruin your message with my little happining. Just glad to hear that all partys involved are ok!!

| Next time it happens (and, unfortunately, there WILL be a "next time") tell HIM to remove the stickers. Once he realizes what's involved, he may be more careful in the future. Alternatively, perhaps you can put a little coat on Harley when he goes for walks so there's not as much hair exposed? |
