| Yay! We have tried so many ways to get Annie potty trained. Pads, Litter Box, Pads, wizdog... We have been using the wee wee pads for quite some time. Even the litter box (we had a spell where we even thought she was trained) But then she stopped using the litterbox altogether one day. So we went back to the pads! But sometimes she would go on the edge and pee would end up all over the floor. So I tried using the wizdog and although the tray is maybe a quarter inch off the ground she wouldn't step onto it and would just pee on the floor instead. Her trainer had suggested that we put gates as a pathway to the wizdog so that she knew which way to go. So finally yesterday I gave in and gave it a try. I closed off the whole bathroom and made a "path" to the wizdog. She doesn't like to be watched when she goes so we usually play the potty game where she goes to the bathroom and I tiptoe behind her. But of course those little doggie ears hear everything, so she would just follow me back out. The first couple times she didn't use it and found other places to pee. So I decided to let her do it on her own and not follow her. Then after dinner she pooped in there and before bed she went potty in there! I was so excited. But it was the first time, so I didn't want to get my hopes up! Then this morning she did both numbers 1 and 2 on the wizdog! (on her own, just let her out of her crate and she headed for the bathroom, I went and checked after she came back to the room) I was so elated ! Amazing what can get me excited these days! So cross your fingers and hope that Annie keeps it up! |

| Congratulations!!! Good job ... I really don't think it matters which method we use ... everyone is different! We all have different lifestyles and what works for some doesn't work at all for others ... for instance, we use the command "tee tee" for pee and poop ... so Toto responds to this command with whichever she needs to do, sometimes both!! Although we have had great success with pad training, I am thrilled when one of these babies begin to learn whichever method that's best for them and their Mom!! Sounds like this is working for Annie ... Toto and I will keep our fingers and little toes crossed for her!!

| Way to go Annie!! Our babies sure make us happy when they finally "figure it out" huh?? I had to laugh when you mentioned that you "tip toe behind her"...Oh yes, been there done that, heck still do, LOL And yes, they sure can hear us no matter how sneaky and quiet we TRY to be. Hugs to Annie on such great progress! And Schatzie gives a high paw up!!

| Yippee Thanks for the information on wizdog fasteddie never heard of it, till now. Didn't realize I could get this excited. Sydnee went to the door and actually whined to go out, I thought yeah right jerking my chain she be, she went out played and went pee pee, plus she had her first one on the pad. Then about an hour and half later she whined to go out again, not to go potty. She loves it outside, I have about an acre for her to run around on and it is so funny to see her hopping through the grass like a rabbit. Anyway, I think it was a fluke going to the door because this morning when she got up and did her daily constitutional it was on the carpet. I have hope though. Viki |
