| Yet another question from a new Yorkie Mommy- Sweater Sizes Most sizes go by measurements and it is very confusing to me. I have a 4.5lb girl right now who will probably grow just about another pound. Will she still be in an XS or a S? Most clothing I've been looking at is extremely confusing. Does anyone with a Yorkie around my girl's size have any advice? I figured I'd ask Yorkie owners who buy clothes specifically for Yorkies, as opposed to doing guess work with clothes meant for many small breeds. Thanks!

YT 1000 Club Member | Hey I would say buy small. I bought Friday a bunch of sweaters and coats last year all xs but now they are too tight for her and she is 5lbs.

| I have the opposite problem. Buddy is much bigger and it's so difficult buying him sweaters, however, I have found that the sweaters that you measure for from back of neck to beginning of tail, fit him much better than the ones that come S,M,L. He's a perfect 16" and I just ordered him 3 new ones for the winter. They fit perfectly. Try going by the length of your pup instead of xxs or s. That might be better this way if she does gain a little it won't effect the fit. |

| Sophie wears an XL perfectly, and weighs 3 lbs, so I would say a small would be your best bet! |

| I understand your dilemma. Prince is 5.7 lbs and a small is too small; medium is too big! I bought him a medium knit sweater last year and altered it.

| I would also try looking at the size chart and measuring yourself to get the accurate size. It is hard to find sizes for Ranger because he is taller, his back is longer, but he is skinny and doesn't weigh what his measurements say he should weigh.
