| Yorkie or Silky? see pictures I am 10.5 pounds do you think I am a yorkie or a silky? I seen the papers and the mother and father were both 5 pounds each. I got him at a dog store and i did a DNA test and it said yorkshire terrior. he is very tough and sturdy dog. His body i slong and his snout is long! What do you think? |

| Welcome to YT!! How old is your baby?? Tootsie is 6 months old and weight 6 pounds... There are some good threads on here about Yorkie's coats!!! You might want to check them out. I am a fairly new mom so I would not be a good judge to know whether your baby is a silky or not..If I'm not mistaken~silky coats are usually straighter!!! Sorry I couldn't be of more help!! I'm sure someone on here will be able to help~there's alot of good people on here!!

Jackson's 12.5lbs and I've had numerous comments to me that he is a Silky including the groomer, vet, and people in general. His parents, to me, looked like pure Yorkies and they were 7 and 8 pounds so Jackson just got bigger, I guess. It's a possibility he could be mixed w/ Silky or just a badly bred Yorkie but who cares?!? I LOVE his size and don't have to worry about him so much. He's perfect the way he is.
