| Just got a new baby! SO excited but NERVOUS! We just added a new little one to our family! We are picking her up on Wednesday!!! But were nervous! Bailey is so used to being our one and only and the center of attention, I know that she is going to be very unhappy with the new addition for a while. I have read somewhere that the best thing to do is ignore the new dog and shower the old one with extra love and attention to let them know that nothing will change and they are still your baby, but The new one we are getting is A tiny and only weighs in at about 1 lb at 10 weeks. We are going to need to take this tiny girl with us everywhere we go, and I was planning on taking her to work so that I can watch her at all times like I did with Bailey when she was little. But Bailey is going to freak out when she sees mommy and daddy leaving for work with the new baby while she has to stay at home! Taking Bailey to work also is not really an option (I work for my dad and he will not let me bring both babies to work at the same time) We were so excited at first but now we are getting more and more nervous worrying about how to do this without making Bailey feel replaced.

| Maybe you could take Bailey for a morning walk, give her attention that way before you take the puppy to work with you. Reading too far into something before giving things a chance will cause stress. I'm sure everything will work out just great. Dogs are so resilient, especially when they are young. Senior dogs tend to get set in their ways, and some never accept a new addition.

| I'm in same boat with Kingston coming home to meet abby in November abby is a mid size dog and she usually loves the boys so all I can do is think positive as I am sure abby feels she is very loved and that's all I can do. I think she might think he's her pup LOL |

| While I agree the tiny new baby can not be ignored...you can still pour on the love, attention and special affection to Bailey...so she knows and remembers how very special she is to you. Be sure that she has her alone, one on one, time with you as well. Good luck and congratulations!!! PS: Give Bailey an extra hug and kiss from Winston and I.
