| Moaning/Grunting Capone has moaned and grunted since the day I got him. He is 11 months now and I've had him for 8 months. Whenever I pick him up he makes a moaning/grunting sound. Kind of hard to describe. Does anybody elses yorkie do this? When I first got him I took him to the vet to be checked out and she said it was a personality thing. He's doing it a lot more now than he did before so I was wondering if anybody elses dog did this. One other random/funny thing he does is pee on the concrete, never saw a dog do this before, but as long as it's not the carpet thats fine with me!

| Jada does this too..i call her granny grunt when i pick her up. Thats the only time she does it. Seems as if it is a little louder when her tummy is full.

| Sadie grunts and moans for a number of reasons. when she's put into her crate for night time, sometimes she'll whine for a bit and finally give a loud moan as her "i give up" noise and fall asleep. she still does that moan noise almost every time she goes out, it's like a loud vocal sigh for a dog. your dog might just be sighing loudly at you because it's happy or because he's giving you that ooomphhh from being picked up. |

| It's not really a whine, its more of a grunting. Hard to describe, only does it when I pick him up.

| Reesie will pee and poop on the concrete in the morning when the grass is wet. He really doesn't like to, but he doesn't want to get his feet wet either. |

| Toby does this almost every time he's picked up. I'm not sure why but he has never seemed to be in pain. Maybe it's the effort of being picked up Lola will pee/poop right on the sidewalk, in the middle of the road, with no qualms about it whatsoever. However, if she's in the yard, she does the usual search for the "perfect" spot, which seems like it takes forever on cold or rainy days

| My Little Lainee also does this, I mentioned it to the Vet and he said it was nothing....It's almost like a stretching sound, I think it's adorable.

| My Binky did it all the time--when he wanted anything--pick me up, feed me, take me bye bye. It wasn't a growl, more like a mmmm groan. It wasn't a whine either. It was the way he vocalized. God, how I miss that sound.

| I always say he does it because he's meant for me, I'm known to whine a little bit at times I feel so much better though, because I was afraid that he was hurting or something. Good to know its just another yorkie thing.
