| At the Vet's Today Seems like somebody every day is getting spayed or neutered. We can be proud for being responsible dog owners! I left Abby at the vet's to be spayed today, and some baby teeth pulled. She had a small hernia when she got her first shots, so if that hasn't healed they will repair it also. I felt so bad this morning, not giving her any breakfast or even water. She did pretty well, but she did follow me around even more than usual. I know she was hungry and thirsty. They weighed her before they took her back and she weighed 6.7 lbs. I was hoping she would stay around 5 lbs. I'm sure she was not standing still on the scales (she is never still) so they may not have gotten an accurate reading, she really doesn't look that heavy. It doesn't really matter, but breeders should be more honest with people. She was advertised to be less than 5 lbs. full grown. Thanks to all of you on this board, I have some onsies waiting for her at home, so I'm sure we'll have a good recuperation. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | oh I remember when i had Prada spayed last year, what a LONG day, I felt so terrible putting her in her carrier for my son to pick her up and take her to work, and even tho I knew he was assisting in her surgery I could not help but worry all day until he called me that she was out and awake.. I kept looking at the onesies and I remember how HAPPY I was when she was home that night.. your baby will be home before you know it, congrats on her spay and take LOTS of pictures they do look very cute with the onesies on.. hugs, Carmen in nj |
