| Is this is a baby tooth? Remember Tyler is being neutered Monday... but the vet didn't say anything about having this tooth removed.... is that because I'm stupid (LOL) and this isn't a baby tooth? |

| Wow, that is a good photo! Looks like a baby tooth to me. I certainly would call the vet and make sure they take any remaining baby teeth at the time of neuter.

| Definitely looks like one to me. I'd phone the vet this afternoon and mention that your furbut has a baby tooth and that you'd like to have it removed when the spaying is done. If you don't, they might not have scheduled enough time to do it. I also ask them to cut my dog's nails when they're under. Makes life so much easier. Michele :-) |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Yup that's a baby tooth and there might be more in there as well. I agree to call the vet and let them know you would like the teeth taken out while he is under.

| Ok i called and the nurse said to point it out monday and if he's at age where it should already be out they'll remove it. He's 9 months today (OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT!!! LOL!!!) so what do you guys think? |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | he's definitely at the age it can come out and they'll see that. so they should remove it.

| thing is i think the vet meant should be out... meaning... if it can come out but doesn't have to be out he won't mess with it... should i MAKE him take it out? LOL! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | his adult teeth are in therefore the baby tooth doesn't need to be there. so it should come out. its not going to fall out. the adult tooth grew in behind it and didn't push it out.

| Yes that appears to be a baby tooth. Teddy was about 9 months old when he was fixed and had all 4 of his canine baby teeth (or whatever they are called). I ask the vet about him pulling them but when he called to give me an update on Teddy he told me that he went ahead and pulled them!

I would wait to see if it falls out. That happened to Gizmo too, it was on both sides and I freaked out! The outer baby teeth eventually ended up falling out a couple days later.

| It looks like a baby tooth. Does he have anymore baby teeth on the top? I would go ahead and have them do it while he is already under for the neuter. Better than going back later... IMO
