| Going from one yorkie to two - big change? How much harder would it be with 2 Yorkies (financial aspect is not a consideration)? Toby would be 9 months when we would consider getting another...... 2 x grooming time 1 x play time (they can play with each other as well? Play with both at same time?) 1 x training time (older one already trained) 1 x walking time (walk both at same time?)

| Just to add my home life situation: Work 5 days a week, 2 of these at home. Toby goes to my aunts the 3 other days. Hubby also works full time. Hope to have a baby in 2-3 years time. Would be off work for one year, then go part time, so probably be at home 5-6 days a week. Do you think this is ok, or is it not fair on the dog(s)?

| Hi Actually I think is more than fair. Your little guy you have now would have a playmate when you guys are kinda busy or at work etc.We just got a little pup to be with our year and a half old yorkie and when we go out I feel he has some company. He seems to enjoy him Our older one also is teaching the little guy to go potty outside which is nice. It sure would be easier now than in a couple of years when you have a new baby. The new pup would be all trained etc. Also your little guy would be that much older and maybe not into the puppy play as much. But that is just my opinion and it is just what your comfort levels are. You have a lot on your plate for sure so guess you have to think hard about it...Good luck with your decision.Take care |

| I think that is a very fair situation for a dog. I really think it is easier with more than one except for the grooming. They entertain each other so much and are much less needy from me.

| I just got my second one and am so glad that I did. Taz is almost 2. I have wanted another one for some time but just now got her. Her name is Princess and she is so cute! It only took a day for the two to get along. Now they play with each other all the time and I don't feel bad when I have to leave the house to go to work. And really it is not alot of extra work. Yes we are doing the whole house breaking thing again, but I already have to take Taz out so just take her at the same time. Theresa |
