| Skunky Puppy? Hello everyone, I just brought home my Queenie, who is 8 weeks old, two days ago, and I noticed she smelled really strange. I was scared to give her a bath, so I used puppy bath wipes on her. They didn't help AT ALL! I took her to the vet just to get her checked out and asked if she smelled normal, and the vet laughed at me and told me she smelled like a puppy. I asked if it was ok to give her a bath, and she told me yes. So I bathed her, and she STILL smelled. I bought some deodorizing spray for doggies, and it helps for about 30 minutes, and then the smell gradually comes back. My husband hit it on the head this morning when he picked her up and said "She smells just like a skunk!" She really does, she smells like a skunk! Has anyone else ever experienced this with a puppy? It this a normal thing, or do you think she was sprayed by a skunk before I got her and the breeder didn't tell me? Does anyone know how to get the smell to go away? I have another Yorkie (now 8 months old), but I got him when he was 4 months, almost 5 months old, so he wasn't ever this little around me, so I have no idea what to expect from a puppy this little. PLEASE HELP! Last edited by ArataCPA; 09-21-2009 at 04:23 AM. |

| if It truly is a skunk smell, which I doubt because believe me honey you would know it right away, you can use tomato juice to remove it. |
