| Did my baby get stung? My little yorkie Skippy was outside barking at another dog, when suddenly he started yelping like crazy! He continued to yelp and sat down with his ears back and his tail tucked under, and then laid down. Then he would start yelping again if I tried to touch his leg...I couldn't find a stinger, and his leg isn't swollen. He can walk. Did he get stung by something? Or what? |

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | You don't mention your location so I don't know wether you have poisonous spiders or maybe snakes where you live. Any case I would check with your vet.

| When one of mine got bit by a fire ant that is what he did. Of course while I am looking him over one of them got me and boy was it painful...it took about 1/2 hour before the pain started to slow down and it still was somewhat painful the next day.

My furkids Donating Member | My little Sadie got stung by a wasp about 2 weeks ago on her upper lip by her nose...kinda like the cheek area. She did swell a little...I also looked for a stinger and couldn't find one. It was 3:00 in the afternoon and my vet closes at 5:00. I was concerned that she would go into anaphlactic (sp?)shock....so I called my vet and they told me to bring her in. They told me to give her benadryl and that she was going to be fine,.,....said that if she were going to have a bad reaction it would have happened with in a few minutes after being stung...She also told me that a wasp will not leave a stinger.
