YT Addict | Doggie Meet-ups. Im going to my second small dog meet up on sunday. The first one didnt go so well. There was one or 2 dogs that "played nice" and were small enough not to freak ME out but then out of nowhere a 40ish pound dog came flying over and pounced my 1 1/2lb puppy! she made the scariest noise I have ever heard her make and left shortly after. The woman running the group tried to make me feel bad for "babying" her but she was only 1 pound, that other dog shouldn't have even been there! i have been afriad to go to another small dog meet up but told a friend id go to one where she works. im kind of scared, eeep! any advise on how i can feel more at ease with dogs that will definatly be bigger than my now 2pounder? she could care less but that can be just as bad as she will play with any dog she sees, even ones that are barkig and growling at her. eep help! |

| Oh my! I go to a small dog meet once a month but the dogs need to be 20lbs or less. Most are under 15 lbs. Also, the smaller puppies are in an expen. |

| I went to my first yorkie meet up on Sept 12. I am glad I brought an extra xpen. Not because of the other yorkies but because my girl Ceci was not being nice to the other yorkies. She had to stay in the xpen by herself while Jack stayed in the larger xpens with the others. I was very surprised because Ceci is usually shy and she mothered Angles pups all the time.

YT Addict | Sweet Surprise! It was an all yorkie play group! whew! There was one dog there that took a little nip at my Lula but I was kind of hoping for that. She needs to learn that she cant run over and jump on every dog she sees. It was a fantastic play time. I feel so much better and cant wait for the next one I'll post a couple pictures when i get a chance. Thank you for all that replied. an x pen is a great idea and should be at all play groups. If i held meet-ups I would totally look into buying one. I have gone to these two and both of them were at dog training and boarding facilities. Im shocked they didnt have one on hand. |

| I am very happy to hear you and your furbaby had a great time. Yes expens are great. I brought 3 to the meet up. Hooked 2 together for all the pups to play in a had one for my bad girl. I am hoping next time she will behave.
