| New Puppy? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to attach my photos! I'm soon to be a new Yorkie owner and want to make sure I'm making a good purchase! I did find a good and caring breeder but she has several little girls to choose from. I'm to go and meet this little girl above (and see the others) and wanted to get any opinions about what I can expect. She is 6 weeks old and I want nothing more than a cute, sweet little family member. I don't particularly want a teeny tiny yorkie - because we have a 15 lb Westie - but I don't want the world's largest Yorkie either. Is there any way to tell at 6 weeks if she will be in the standard size range? (Which I understand to be 7-8 lbs). Which would be perfect - Ringo is intimidated by dogs bigger than him. Any thoughts on what her coloring might be? Black/tan is my favorite and she seems to be black/tan. For some reason, I thought she would have more hair . . but maybe this is just what a 6 week old puppy looks like. I've been reading these forums for months trying to decide if I am up for handling two dogs (and a 14 y/o son). I've finally decided to add a female and am so worried about . . . everything! Whether or not they will get along; which puppy to choose . . but I've been wanting a Yorkie for a long time; I let my son choose his puppy - our 3 year old Westie, Ringo. And I love Ringo to death but now I get to pick his companion . . and it's going to be a cute little Yorkie. I think she looks mighty sweet but . . I'm no expert on Yorkies at all. Any opinions welcome. Is this what a six week old Yorkie should look like? Sorry for the rambling. I'm excited and nervous too about meeting her tomorrow. Ringo's Mom |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Please dont take any puppy at 6 weeks. They need to stay with their mommy and litter mates until atleast 12-13 weeks. They are so tiny there can be health issues and it is recommended they stay with a breeder until they reach 3 months or so. All of them will be black and tan but it will change to more of a silver. Mine are 5 months and changing in color everyday. She is a cutie. Ask to see the parents, and thats a good idea of the size your baby will be. But, no guarantee. Good luck finding the perfect baby! | No, you can't get her tomm. way to soon to leave momma! Please give her time to grow up! Her hair will grow as she gets older, and the colors will change most of her life. You might ask the breeder about other litters dam & sire have had, and the size they are now. Please visit the breeder & the dam & sire!

| What a little doll. She is adorable. Soooooo cute. I bet you are excited!!! Who wouldn't be. Please keep up updated. If you have been around here for a while you already know she shouldn't come home with you til at least 12 weeks. It's the longest wait in your life. Good luck tomorrow.I agree with the other poster. See the parents that should give you some idea as to how big she will get. Of corse like children there are no gaurantees. Your other baby will have a buddy. That's great.

| I'm not picking her up tomorrow; just going to meet her and the other puppies. The breeder would like me to make a choice; though, so she can start taking deposits on her other pups. She will not come home before 12 weeks. It's just a meet and greet . . and decision to make! Thanks for your input. |
