| Hello I'm "Kootersmomma" Hello I know some of you may have read the post I put in the Thyme and Sage blog already but I am Penny. I am a disabled police officer, elected school board member, wife and mother to two 2-legged sons and mom to two furry children as well. My husband is currently unemployed, he worked in the auto industry and the company he worked for closed in June. We have a very high unemployment rate in our area so for now he is home driving me crazy!!! I have a 23 year old son, AJ, who is in the Army and just deployed for the second time to Iraq. It is one of the hardest things I have ever lived through but after going through it once I know I can go through it again. My 16 year old son, Derek, is one of the nicest kids I have ever met. Where my other son challenged me every day from the time he was 4 years of age until he left for Iraq again, the second is easy. It is really a good thing because I don't think I could live through two like the first. LOL Of course the reason I signed up for this site is one of my furry children. I have two, Shelby, is my 12 year old shih tzu/maltese mix and Skooter is my one year old yorkie. As you can read in the post under Thyme and Sage getting Skooter took a little longer than we had hoped but after losing my Kasey, we found Skooter (I call him Kooter sometimes...thus my name Kootersmomma) from an individual that adopted him and his brother but could not keep them. I wish I had adopted both now but Skooter definately has been more work than I anticipated. He is a ball of energy and because he is just over a year old, not always the good boy he should be. We live near the Illinois/Wisconsin stateline and in a small village between Beloit and Rockford. Close enough to everything but small enough to be comfortable. I look forward to getting to know you all. I am going to work on my site in time. You all have so many options it was fun to play with it but I think it could be better. I do have pics of my furry kids in there. I will add more as I go along. I am going to try to move my post from T&S area to rescues in hope that everyone will sign the petition that I am working on for maximum punishment for Jennifer Petkus, the owner of that business. Thanks so much for having me in your group!! Penny

| WELCOME!! You will LOVE this site! This site is highly addictive. My hubby jokes with me about my 'online affair' with Yorkie Talk. |

| I really appreicate each of you that have signed....I look forward to getting to know you all better....I love my little Skooter...He is so unique...I can definately see the difference between him and my shih tzu/maltese mix. Skooter has a personality much larger than his little body...LOL Big hugs!!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Hi and a very big welcome to Yorkietalk, I linked your thread on the petition to over 240 YAP members, (Yorkies Against Puppymills) so I hope they don't move it too soon. So glad you are taking the time to fight for this, it's so much easier to turn your head the other way, especially when you have other problems in your life.

| Nancy thank you so much for passing the link along...I know many of my contacts in rescue have passed the link along as well...It is helping me get more signatures and I can't thank you enough. Again it is nice to see so many wonderful friendly people...I know that when Skooter and I are walking or out in our yard he definately gets a lot of attention...I think it is because the breed is so beautiful...you have to be friendly with this dog...My Skooter even smiles for you...Must be something about yorkie families... Big hugs!
