| My first day on YT!!! Hi everyone! My daughter and I have been researching different dogs and we've come to find that a YORKIE would enhance our lives so much so. We're in transition (divorce, two households, etc) and I know a Yorkie would fill that gap in our lives ABUNDANTLY...we're so excited, we've decided on getting a 'rescue or pound' yorkie-there are so many without homes but my only 'requirement' was it couldn't be a tea-cup (no offense to tea-cup owners)...so imagine looking for a needle in a haystack!!! But I believe in fate and I've found two yorkies that are 10lbs and 11lbs...we go to meet one on Saturday-I cannot wait!!! Anyway, long story short, I've been reading so much on the internet in preparation for our impending furry family member and I stumbled across YT and I'm looking forward to learning all about Yorkies and sharing my own stories. I see this isn't just the pretty stuff and perfect pet stories because I know from experience not all days are good days...lol. Anyway, all that to say is hi and I look forward to being a part of YT. Prayerfully, I'll have pics of our new yorkie soon to post |

| Hello & welcome. I can't believe Yorkies end up in rescue shelters in America. They hardly ever do over here, or other small pedigree breeds for that matter. It's usually mostly mongrels in the shelters here. xx Meggie |

| I got my first yorkie (Jack) when I split up with my husband. I had always wanted a yorkie but he though they were sissy dogs. We got back togather a year later and now we have 3. He even takes Jack on his motorcycle with him. I wish you luck in finding the perfect yorkie for you and your daughter. They are so loving and will keep you company when your daughter is with him.

| Spoiling me... thanks everyone for all the love and support...you guys are better than any pity party I could throw myself!!!!! It is a shame but all kinds of dogs end up in rescues here and I'm so grateful for them, if I could take in more I would...just reading their stories breaks my heart. The one I'm looking at is named Ward and he was turned in with his wife June and two kids Wally and I forgot the other one) Well he's still waiting to be adopted out! So he's not only lost his human family but his furry family as well...I hope we get him. Tortoisekeeper-I never even thought of that added plus! Thanks-it means alot. |
