| Halloween Party Planning Hi ya'll. A few of us ladies in the N. Dallas, TX area were talking about having a Halloween Party for the kids to wear their costumes to, one idea led to another and as usual, it's taken on a life of it's own. We are going to have a Halloween Party on Oct 24 and besides the simple fun of seeing all the babies in their cute costumes, we are going to hold a Chinese Raffle to raise money for Yorkie Haven Rescue. The fabulous owner, Scott Craig, of Classy Canine Daycare, has offered us the use of his entire facility FOR FREE! This is a top-notched facility and I was floored when he offered it to us. He is located in N. Dallas on Preston Rd right off of the George Bush Tollway. Dallas Dog Daycare, Plano Dog Daycare, Pet Boarding at Classy Canine Daycare More details will be coming, but the date is set for Oct 24th. As many of you know, BaxtersMommy & Manolos Mom rescued Fiona from the Mesquite Pound and got her to LadyJane’s rescue in Houston for her care, rehabilitation and ultimately search for her forever home. Fiona’s medical expenses will be extensive and I know any amount we can raise will be greatly appreciated. So this post is 2 fold. First to get the word out to please, if you’re in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, come to the party, bring your furkids - in costume, of course - have fun seeing all the other babies, visit and get to know other YT’ers face to face and help us raise money for Fiona. Second, can you share ideas of what you would actually like to win in a gift basket. We, of course, have ideas, but I’m always amazed at how creative and imaginative YT’ers are and know you guys could come up with some great suggestions for us. So put your thinking caps on YT’ers. And mark your calendar for Oct 24th so that your DH doesn’t book you to do something else ‘fun’ like… oh I don’t know… the Knife & Gun Show or a Fishing Contest.

And yes, we are working on getting human raffle items too. To do a totally human basket and/or to combine with some of the doggie baskets. And I know that sounds weird - totally human basket - but ya'll know what I mean. Twalla, if you come to Allen's Hobby Lobby, let me know and I'll be glad to run over and meet you. They are dog friendly, I even had a cashier tell me, "You know you can bring your dog in here." when she saw pictures of my kids in my wallet the last time I was in. Or perhaps we can meet at the Allen dog park.
