| Mollie back to the Vet today Well guys I have to take Mollie back to the vet today. Nothing serious I hope. We think she has a blocked milk duct. Sorry I can't remember the medical term for it. But around one of her nipples it is swollen and red and a little warm to the touch. Luckily the vet had a cancellation at 4pm today. If they hadn't been able to work her in I would have called around and just took her somewher else anyway, I have a couple of times already put hot compresses on it. The tech told me to see if I could express any milk. No luck. I'm sure that they will have better luck at this than me. I was really kind of surprised that this happen because she just finished her antiobotics on Thursday of last week. Maybe she just wasn't on them long enough. So, I'm hoping the only thing that they have to do is maybe try to express the milk and another course of antibotics. Keep your fingers crossed for us that this is all it is. I'm sure it is. I always tend to think the worse especially after her so called simple tooth extraction.

| Poor little Mollie. Bitsy had that problem and we massaged it and made sure the puppies nursed on it and it went away by itself. We didn't have any luck expressing milk out either. Hope she is ok!!!

| It doesn't seem to be bothering her too bad. She is still her active playful self. She and Wyatt have been running around playing and growling at each other and she stills want's me to play with her. She will bring her toys to me for me to throw them to her. So hopefully we caught it early enough where it won't be too traumatic for her.

| Thanks everyone. I will keep you posted. I'm sure she will be fine. I've got to get off of here. I've got some studying to do. And of course I got to take the time to put some more hot compresses on Mollie and see if I can do anything to help speed this along. I take her to the vet at 4 today. I will let you guys know something after we get back home. Thanks again.

| We just got back from the vet. Mollie is fine she does have mestatics(sp) sorry I'm not sure how to spell it. It is on both sides now. Just more pronounced on one than the other. Vet gave me a liquid medicine this time she said it was used more for skin & coat and glandular infections. So she has to take it twice a day with food so I guess I will give her some pupperoni her favorites and then give her the medicine and of course it has to be kept in the fridge. Just wanted to give everyone an update. I couldn't believe it. She weighs over 7 lbs. She has put on almost a 1lb since she was weighed last year when she had her vaccinations. I'm sure a lot of it is because she is still eating puppy food. I probably need to go ahead and get her some adult food and get her off of the puppy food. I can tell when I pet her that I don't feel her ribs like I use too so, she may need to lose a little weight. But I'm not to concerned about it right now. I was just in shock.
