| Congratulations on your new fur baby - yes the standard for Yorkies is to have docked tails. My advice to you is to be patient with him while he adjusts to his new home and you. He will give you so much love and joy and be so thankful for a new Mommy that loves him. |

| You are going to love him to pieces! My boy is the sweetest and his lil heart beats for me! They are great lil dogs! The standard is docking their tails, but some are not (Ryders isnt). Congrats on your new boy! I would just say patience and consistency is the key! Best of luck!

| Tail docking has been banned in the UK. Most yorkies in the US still get docked. Is Crumbles already docked? I don't think I would dock it now at 4 if it isn't. |

| Hi! What an adorable name. Can't wait to see pictures. My only advice would be to get him to your own vet, not the Humane Societies vet, have him checked over and get him started on heartworm medicine. And don't be afraid to change vets if you aren't clicking with the first one. Vets are just like our doctors, some we feel good with some we don't. We have several YT members in CA, perhaps one of them can recommend a vet for you to try.
