| Rocky the Flying Squirrel! Rocky has been "finding" my son's socks and he suddenly appears chewing on them. I could not figure out how he was getting them. My son takes them off in his own room and we have a baby gate at the hallway leading there. But several times now, I have had to rescue a sock. I might think I dropped one occasionally when doing the laundry but this was happening with too much regularity. Then, today, while I was online "talking Yorkie" I hear a noise behind me and there smack dab in the middle of the pool table (that I admit is being used more often for a clothes folding station), stands Rocky! At first I could not figure for the life of me how he got up there. It is higher than a regular table and he is only a 6 month old puppy! But there is a chair that he evidently climbed up on and then had to literally "fly" 3-4 feet to the pool table. He had just been curled up on my foot not 5 minutes before. Unbelievable! More so, because now I know where all those socks I have been rescuing have come from -- my laundry folding table/pool table! Not to mention, I have been missing treats from the box I keep them in and placed on the pool table, which I thought was safe from the dogs. I had thought maybe Candy (our adult Jack Russell had got them, but never dreamed of Rocky being a potential culprit!) This kid is fearless! I have had to save him from himself so many times already! I am going to have to either get rid of the chair or find somewhere else to put it. I can't have this little guy climbing around on the pool table! This is one of those things that scare you to pieces but you have to laugh about, and maybe even be a little proud of the little guy's ingenuity and agility! What a character -- I just love him! This is a picture of the little rascal:

| Ya gotta love a Yorkie that see's a problem and finds a solution. But he messed up a little by doing it when you were around. Now the question is, will he figure out that he needs to be sneakier in his next endeavor?

| I have one of those fearless puppies as well, within two days of teaching her how to use the puppy steps she was flying up and down them so fast she was practically falling off the couch, then she got braver and now jumps off the couch and flys to her toys, and then she got even smarter and braver and when i take the pup steps away to eat supper, she learned to jump from the steps to the couch and now it's all over because she has finally learned to jump onto the couch without any assistance so i can't eat in peace anymore that way and will have to actually train her not to bug me while i'm eating.... i just love how brave and strong willed she is, and not only couch jumping, but now she learned to climb up on top of her crate when it's in the ex. pen with her, she climbs onto her soft bed and up on top of the crate and jumps off...little poop!!! |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Deb and V really great pics. OMG Rocky you are the cutest thing so smart, too. I would be worried too Deb since he's so little and if he fell or something. Gotta give him credit though. V those are amazing pics and they are all super.
