| Wow, an hr. a day...but looks like your baby has thick wonderful hair, and looks so nice ...My little Apple has rather thin hair, and it's a little short for the summer (we're in S.E.Texas and it is hot!)...But, in answer to your question, it takes me about 3 minutes a day to run a brush through her little 4 1/2 lb. body, and another few minutes to put her rubber band in her top knot, for the day...I was sooooooooo apprehensive about getting a yorkie, because of the grooming issues, but I was blessed w/my little apple, and w/thinner hair, it's a breeze...I love the thick, gorgeous, movie star hair on the babes, but I wouldn't really have time, at this point in my life (I work)...So I'm good.... p.s. I don't know what the heck they do at the groomers, but Apple sure does look glamorous, when she comes out...Not so much, w/me doing it lol.... |

| I spend about 1 hour on (2) most of the time chasing them down, then 5 minutes on Buttons (he loves it) and the rest of the time on Oliver, he HATES it. But, they do look nice after.

| Mine would never sit still for an hour a day! Maybe 15 minutes each. Unless I have to work on a tangle.

| My show dogs 2 hours......when bathing and wrapping, usually an hour a day checking wraps....my others, since they're cut down...just cleaning little faces and brushing teeth every other day.....that doesn't take much time.

| 1 Hour x's 3 equals 3 hours! Let's see I have 3 Yorkies in full/long coats, they take about an Hour a piece to Condition & Brush. Their Daily morning "Grooming Routine" is about 15 min. before their first walk, I wash their Eyes/Faces, brush their Teeth every morning and I try to Brush them twice a day, once in the morning and once before Bed time to put them to Sleep! I also shave/tip their Ears, File down their Nails w/a Pedipaw, Trim around and between their Feet and Sanitary Shaves w/a Clipper but I never do them all at one time b/c we don't have the Patience to do it all at once! I split it up on different days.......yesterday I shaved their Ears and today I will do their Nails. Yes, they are very high maintenance, but it's worth all the Compliments I get, since I'm the "Groomer"! I only work once or twice a week in the Evenings, but my Fulltime Job is being their "Personal Attendent", too bad I don't get Paid to do it, it's the Best Job I ever had and the only one that makes me "Smile". They always seem so Happy to be Clean? Today is Bath/Spa Day and that is 1 hour a piece too! I take breaks in betweeen to alleviate muscle cramping from standing @ my Kitchen Sink so long and I try to sit while I'm Blow-drying. A true labor of Love.

| I guess it takes me about 5 minutes to comb and put a top knot in Fancy's hair but Fancy's has thin hair too. Wow, an hour - I don't think I or Fancy could sit there for that long.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | neither morgan or i have the patients to spend so much time on grooming since she has a cotton coat. I shave her down every few months. so what grooming i do do takes a minute or two (clean eyes and brush teeth).

| My plan is to keep Fergus in coat, (he is almost 9 months old). Originally we brushed 5-10 minutes a day and a bath about once every 8-12 days. Now that his coat is coming in, and its silky, we are up to about 10 minutes of brushing daily, top knot fixing every day or two (5 minutes) and a bath weekly (about an hour from first splash to finish blow dry and bow!) I have a groomer do the ears/paws/nails/sanitary about every 6 weeks and trim Hamish down (I am not keeping a 20 pound yorkie in coat! forget it!!) every 3 months. I do the face washing thing every couple of days because he hates it. A lot. I can do almost anything but he is funny about his muzzle. My SO says I need to trim him, but, I just cant bring myself to!
