| Concerned with the advertisement on here Hello fellow Yorkie Lovers! I am concerned with the Puppy Petite (aka Puppy Boutique) in Brooklyn, NY advertisement on this site. That place is one of the worst places to get a puppy from and I don't think it should be advertised on such a nice site. They get their puppies from puppy mills and almost all of them are sick. I know from experience because I got my Yorkie from them and she had a liver shunt and spent her life sick because she was breed in such horrible conditions. If you google "puppy boutique" you will see what I am talking about. There are tons of bad reviews about that place and they all sound very similar. It saddens me that a wonderful site like this that is for people who love their dogs so much has an advertisement for a horrible place like that. I hope that you will take it down so that no one has to go through what I and many others have watching their precious baby suffer. Please lets atleast get it out to there for people NOT to EVER go there. Thank you |

| its funny you should mention this particular botique, because thats where I got my dog from. I just want to say that I am 100% satisfied with my pup. he is in great health and was when i got him. he is also a very smart dog. im sure maybe 2 out of 100 people get a dog with issues, but im sure that happens with breeders too..... the rest of the puppys at puppy petite were in clean conditions and well taken care of (better than ANY pet store ive seen) they give you a health guarentee and a free visit to the vet. they also educate you about the risks of hypoglycemia and send you home with food, nutrical, antibiotics(just incase), and some karo for the hypoglycemia. i never had a problem with it(hypoglycemia). im not saying that there the greatest place on earth, but i tried getting a pup from a breeder and its HARD! they are soooo friggin expensive and some people have ridiculous rules and lengthy applications and it was so much easier with puppy petite. i will most likely get my next one from there. im sure alot of you dont agree with that, but maybe you should make it a little bit easier and LESS EXPENSIVE to get a pup from a breeder and people wouldent go to stores as much. its all about the money to EVERYONE, otherwise the pups would be free to a good home!!!! i sure the breeders care for there pups a great deal, but it IS a business to them. you cant deny that. in short, i have no quarrels with puppy petite!! |

| I am so sorry about your fur baby. Perhaps stricter guidlelines on advertisers should be enforced.

You can get a free report on the background of a pet shop puppy here. Your report will tell you which puppy mill he came from, USDA inspections, how many animals the mill has, if the breeder in on the AKC suspension list, etc. Free Puppy Report | |

Personally, I chose rescue every time, but that's me. We just got Bijou from a rescue and she's a nine week old puppy. I looked for about 8 months before I found a yorkie puppy within 5 hours driving distance of me. So it can happen, you just have to be willing to wait and be persistent. Good luck in either choice you make with your next baby. As for this advertisement I think it should be pulled too! We all love dogs and would never approve of the environment that a puppy mill puppy comes from so why would we want to support a show that does? Not me!!!

| I find it very interesting this is the second time in that many days that Petite Puppies has been brought up. Just yesterday there was a "new member" banned who had a puppy from Petite Puppies. She too bought her yorkie from this PUPPYMILL and was having many issues with him. Now today there is another "new member" who was also purchased from there as well. Not sure if this is a coincidence or not. Legitimate breeders are not the issue or the amount of money that someone charges for their puppies in NOT a reason to purchase from a puppymill. Never-Ever-Under ANY Circumstance! It does not matter if you have a puppy that is healthy and it came from a mill. That is not the point of putting puppymills out of business. The suffering and cruelty that goes on within the mills is the issue as well as all of the sick puppies that come from these places. Not only do some of these puppies huge medical issues there are also the many heartbroken owners that are forced to make decision about sick puppies. Some die, some are PTS, some are turned over to rescue for medical treatment and some are treated by their unsuspecting owners who made uneducated decisions to add a new member to their family. Take a look at any Yorkie rescue and you will see some of the breeding females that these places used and abused. They ALL are a mess and have huge medical issues from years of abusive over breeding. Many have genetic defects that have been passed on to their many litters. IMO anyone who knowingly makes a decision to purchase from a puppymill needs to educate themselves about puppymills. I believe that in order to "promote" something whatever it might be you need to be educated on the subject.

| If I'm reading this correctly, you are talking about the ads that are on the pages you are reading, like at the bottom of the page? If so, these are usually there by google and are usually based on what topic you may be reading about. If there is the mention of say a different type of dog say a Bichon, you may see something on Bichons....this site really doesn't have control over that. If it is a actual ad for the boutique, then maybe contact Admin. with your concerns. |
