| I have a question, I have a 10 week old female puppie and I was carrying her from the living room to my bedroom just now, and just as I was about to put her on the ground, she moved a bit and fell out of my hands, she fell on her back but quickly jumped back up on her feet, and walked around, she later even peed on the carpet (haha). She's sleeping now. But what I'm wondering is if something could have broke or something, it really wasn't high, the height she fell from was like 10 centimeters, so it really wasn't high and she walked around after that normally... do you think she's alright? I just got her 2 days ago... |

| I think she is fine. If she had been hurt she wouold have cried and would not be walking around. I know it is scarey, but they are tougher than you think. |

| I hope so. She's walking around normally, and just stood up right after the fall. She's sleeping now, aww she looks so cute and peaceful sleeping. Thank you for the reply. |

| Hi and welcome to YT! Congradulations on your new puppy. Does she have a name? I would just keep a close eye on her for awhile. If she seems to be fine, than she probably is. However, if she seems like she is sore anywhere, you notice funny behavior or limping or crying or she is not acting her self then I would take her to the vet. It doesn't take much for them to get hurt. When Copper was about 10 weeks he ran and jumped from my leather chair to the ottoman and kept sliding. He was screeming before he even hit the ground because it scared him so bad. He fell about 20 inches, he got up and ran from the ottoman like it was going to get him he was fine but would not go near that ottoman for a very long time it was really funny watching him walk way arroung it

My furkids Donating Member | Sadie was about that age when she jumped out of my Moms arms landing on her side on the hard floor...My Mom instantly picked her up and held her. I think my Mom was more upset than Sadie was hurt!! My parents are BIG dog lovers also!! She was fine. Of course my Mom didn't tell this happened until I came home from work.

| Thank you everybody on your advice and the warm welcome Her name is Ellie I just got scared, because the guy I got her from was like "she could die if she fell" so I was a little bit scared, but she's sleeping on my foot now, so I think she's alright haha |

| I had to put a harness on my Luna full time because she is so squirmy when she wants down! That way I have something I can grab ahold of to keep her from falling. Plus I attached a bell so I know where she is

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome and it sounds like she is fine. I try not to carry mine because of this. My Cali jumped right out of my arms when I first got her on to the lawn as I was telling the neighbor kids they had to be sitting down to hold her. She was fine thank God but to this day she tries to jump out of your arms when being held so I hold on extra tight.

| Sophie did the same thing the other day and fell a short distance, but I learned quick that although she is fragile, she seems to know her limits. She will jump on and off the couch and chair (and her crate...) which aren't very high off the ground, but when we put her on the bed, she won't even attempt to jump off. She's a pretty tough little cookie for such a little, fragile dog. |

| My yorkie fell off the bed when he was 14 weeks. He was fine. We were more scare than him. Sometimes they are stronger than what you think. If she is not limping,or showing signs of pain, she should be fine. |
