| A Yorkie mom to be Hello to all! I am new to Yorkie Talk. I and my future husband have decided to start our venture on finding my Yorkie baby. I need a permanent companion to keep me busy and to love besides him. I've been reading post here and decided to join this site. I am in love with the breed and have been reading everything I can find on Yorkies. I am finding myself becoming partial to the Parti's and Biewers because I love the color combinations. No offense to the standard Yorkies...they are beautiful too. I met a woman recently shopping in a store in Dallas and she had a Biewer that was so beautiful that he made my heart melt. But she didn't give me any info about finding a breeder, she just said that they are very rare and expensive...hmmm. I guess she was to busy to talk more, she was trying on shoes…LOL I am wanting a female and her name will be "Cerise" which means cherry in French. I plan on getting a puppy and raising her as my baby. She WILL be spoiled, but in the very best way, and I do plan on attending obedience training with her. We are both 49 years old and this puppy will be our child. She will be traveling everywhere with me. At my age I can be picky in my travels, so if dogs aren't aloud I won't go there. I look forward to reading more post here and I love all the pictures. My heart has been beating and melting all day looking at your babies! |

Yorkie Yakker | Congratulation! Congratulation! You will love your new pup! We are newlyweds too and we got our yorkie the day after our honeymoon! Our friends don't understand why we spent so much time with our puppy but she really is our child. Our yorkie goes to doggie school, daycare, and we brush her daily Enjoy! You will love your new pup!

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Welcome to YT. You are very lucky to have actually seen a Biewer in person. Once you meet once, it is almost an addiction to find your own. I know because I was once in your shoes. |

Thanks to you all! I can't wait till I find/get her. I have been researching doggy daycare. Do you leave her there all day. Does she like it? I work 4 days Tues-Fri and I have been wondering if it will be all right to take her all on all 4 days (all day). I'll just be working till March and then I'll become a stay home mom...LOL I have thought of waiting till then to find/get her but the excitement is getting to me. I also think that by having her attend doggy day care she will be more social for our future travels and daily public ventures.

I feel like I'm a sinking ship...LOL Then I looked them up online and sent a picture of a female Biewer that is currently the dog of the week on Modern Dog magazines website to my fiance' and he melted. He cracks me up. So he did some research and said "that's the breed we need to get you" So now I am obsessed. But I told him today we could also look into a Parti Yorkie. He then got confused, so I said we'll just make sure she's a Yorkie from a good breeder, whichever type we get. Last edited by Cerise; 08-21-2009 at 02:49 PM.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I know some folks do doggie day camp once their doggie has come to know the household rules. The dog on the magazine's site sure is pretty..... her owner posts here on YT. |

| Good luck in your search! These guys are addictive so be careful...once you own one, that won't be enough. I own a parti (actually we are owned by her...he's the queen around here!). I agree with you about how beautiful they are! Tammy |

| Welcome! I think that you are like many of us in that once we saw one, there was no going back. They are wonderful little dogs in that they are beautiful, but their personalities are just amazing. Good luck in your search and just like with any other dog, do plenty of research. If you need any recommendations, let me know as I know of two wonderful breeders in Texas who currently have puppies.
