| “Your so vain…”. DO your little doggies like to look at themselves? Austin has recently discovered himself in the mirror. I suppose the curiosity may have started a few weeks ago with him thinking “mommy has eyes in the back of her head” (I was in a mirror putting on contacts and he was doing some naughty and I yelled at him without turning around). This week he walks past a floor length one and checks himself out a few times. NOW he’s barking at me though the mirror. He’ll sit there check himself out, look at me, and/or bark at me. This whole time I have been buying toys when what I really needed to get him was a floor length mirror. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Lol, I thought you post was going to be about me! Joey was fascinated with the mirror as a pup, and barked his head off at the adorable pup in the mirror, but the pup barked right back, lol, now for some reason, I can't even get him to look in the mirror. I know a little how he feels, it's tough for me too, but really he just won't look at himself, I can tap the mirror and everything, and he just won't budge. Sometimes I don't think he wants to know that he looks like a dog, he seems to be a people person!

| Twinkle isn't bothered by her reflection at all, but Wicket goes nuts!! When it's dark outside and he can see himself reflected in the patio doors he barks his little head off at this 'other' yorkie and runs towards it.......when he sees the 'strange' yorkie running towards him in the glass he runs over to me and dives onto my lap! It make me laugh every time xxx

| Mine is kinda sad! The first time Bailey ever discovered the mirror he started pawing, scratching and crying at it. It was shortly after I brought him home and evidently he must have thought it was one of his littermates. He soon realized the other "dog" wasn't going to play back and now get mad when looking in the mirror...

Poor Bailey...... That was a hard lesson to learn!!!! I always had birds and its advised if you have only one to get a mirror. They think its another bird. Its interesting how dogs are responding to them..... | |

| Kimbo seems really interested when he sees himself in the mirror. I tell him to "kiss the baby" and he licks the mirror. Then when he realizes his kiss feels strange, he just stares at me. Like, "what tha??!" He falls for it every time! |

YT 500 Club Member | Snickers likes to look at the "other dog" in the mirror. But they aren't friends. That other dog better back away because he rules this roost! And there is a picture of him and the other dog looking at eachother in my album, you always gotta keep one eye open around here. That other dog is Sneaky!

That sounds so cute, Rockie goes back and forth to the mirror looking at himself and barking. But he never licks it; thats so cute.
