| Help in identifying qualities in our yorkie Our Female Dixie recently passed away. I'm in the process of trying to locate a good little female to add to the family but would like her to have some of the same marking and same size as Dixie was. Looking at the picture can anyone tell me what i should be looking for puppy wise. Are the puppys typically different in color then as they get older? (Dixie was 10 in this picture). Thanks for the help and responses In this picture dear Dixie had just rubbed all over the blanket i used to lay down for her on my front seat. She loved loooking like a scraggle rat!!!!! |

| Oh Dixie is a cutie! Yorkie pups are black and tan and they change color as they grow. Your best bet is to look for parent yorkies that have the coloring you want (and size).

| Thanks for the compliments I've got another picture i'll get on here that will really pull on the ole heart strings! It seems that the majority of puppies i've seen so far have pretty small parents(6lbs and under). Is it pretty rare to find a yorkie pup with larger parents or at least a little bigger then 6 lbs? |

| Your Dixie was beautiful....gorgeous gold and blue. A bit over the standard, if one was looking to show her, but a great size for a pet.

| Like color, there is no guarentee for size. The best indicator is the line of dogs the pup comes from. Have you looked at the ads on here?
