| Dog shows for non-standard dogs I want to train my dog to compete in some type of competition, but he isn't AKC registered and he doesn't fit the 'standard'. I don't care about fitting the standard I love my little baby, but anyway does anybody know of any type of competitions for regular not standard show dogs that are just for fun?

| Oh thanks I didn't know that. He's doing really good with agility training and I would love to see him "do his thing" in front of other people.

| Most clubs also have conformation competition, you don't get points or anything. It is meant for practice for the dogs but many people out here just do it for fun and never compete at the AKC sanctioned events.

| American Kennel Club - Agility You might also want to check with your local humane society to see if other events go on in your home town.
