| Bless your heart...He'll be o.k...It's a very simple procedure for a male...But here's some (unsolicited) motherly advice for you, try to think about all the "positive" things that will come about w/his neutering, instead of focusing on what may go wrong...Your odds are waaay in favor that everything will go right, so focus on that... |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I feel worse about the Rottweiler than I do the neutering...LOL! Anyway, Jonah's been neutered and he never missed a beat...he came running through the door like it never happened! I would ask the vet to change the location of his cage if they have room...it might be nice

| update on louis I went to pick up louis earlier than expected. So instead of 4 pm.. At 2 30ish, the lady said I could pick him up already...what I don't get is..I've been reading all these neutering stories but never saw one that says that they got a painkiller dosage for 4 days..which is what I got from the vet. idk I'm just weirded out and prolly being a psycho mommy :/ && louis keeps moving =[ poor thing can't even lay down in the right position but he does walk around and eat :/.

| She said I should give it to him for the next 4 days and that it was medication for the pain , etc.

| Glad to hear your baby is out of surgery! When I had Addie spayed, I got pills enough for several days (I can't remember exactly how many, but there were at least five pills). Basically I was told to give them to her if necessary. They cut the pills up into quarter sizes so I would only give her one quarter a day. I gave it to her for the first two days (after her first day of surgery because they had already given her painkillers the day of) in the morning along with her antibiotics (but had to giver her antibiotics at night as well) just because I wanted to make sure she wasn't experiencing any pain. I was told that I didn't have to give all of the painkillers to her. I was told to judge based on how she was feeling. If she looked like she was in pain, then I would give them to her. If not, then I could stop early. After the second day of giving her painkillers, I stopper because she seemed perfectly fine. Although, I did make sure to keep a close eye on her behaviour in case she did show signs of being in pain.

| Well I gave it to him today because even though he's not whining or anything..I can tell he's uncomfortable sitting/ laying down...I mean , he does sit n lay down but it takes him a while to find a position and I don't want him to be in pain.he's def. Way better today than yest. Thanks all of you <3
