| NEW to forum - GREETINGS! I found this forum when I was looking up information concerning my Maltese puppy's double canine teeth. I found such good advice, I decided to join up! I have an 11 year old Yorkie baby named Teddy Bear. He is such a beautiful Yorkie, but being 17 pounds, I guess he is a "mutant". Teddy is pure-bred and both parents were under 5 pounds, but Teddy just grew big! He is perfectly proportioned and not the least bit overweight - just a very large Yorkie. I wonder if anyone has ever had or heard of such a large Yorkshire Terrier. By the way, Teddy says HI to everyone! |

| Welcome to YT You will get a lot of good advice on here. I have read several post on here where they had a larger yorkie also,so it doesn't seem to be that uncommon. Just more to love

| Hello and welcome to YT!! Your baby is definitely not the only large yorkie around here. My Roscoe is 11 months and 10 pounds. We lovingly call them teapots around here. Can't wait to see pics of your baby.

| So many replies - Wow! Thanks for all the greetings, and I had NO idea there were so many teapot Yorkies out there. BTW, we also call him Teddy Phelps because he is a swimming maniac! He loves to jump in the pool, and will do it all day long if we let him. He's very polite, however, and will only jump in if someone else is in the pool first. |
