| Work with a trainer. When I did intermediate training with Scooter, our trainer encouraged us to not open the door until he is sitting and stays sitting a few feet from the door. If he popped up, I had to close the door, even if it was a good friend. Your guests should be able to come and go with the door open and not getting attacked. Our trainer gave us some relly good tips on how to do it. It took quite a while but eventually he got it and now is much calmer when someone rings the bell. Good luck!

| Samantha and I are still working on this. She knows to sit. Now we're working on quiet with some success even when her very favorite person is at the door. Unless it is one of her friends, I always pick her up after sit/quiet, which I know is less than ideal but in Egypt it is necessary. |

| I just thought of something. Does he attack the person or jump on them barking and greeting? Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference. If the latter, your problem is much less. Good luck. |

| When Rockie does that, l focus on him and makes sure he is sitting down and clearly away from the door. l try not to let him rush to the door. With us its a matter of me staying focused on and telling him "no" consistantly. I make sure l position myself between him and the door.
