| Has it really been THAT long?! i can't believe I haven't been around since December. How embarrassing! well i thought i would catch everyone up on my little Sophie, because, if you remember, she went through a very traumatic time. After she was involved in a fight, she had to have her eye removed. It used to bother me, but she's still my gorgeous baby girl. The hair has finally grown over, and it's really hard to tell that she only has one eye!! most of the time, i comb her hair over to cover her "bad side" as we refer to it. It doesn't bother her at all. I'm still worried about what other people think about her when i take her out, or if the children will be frightened, but most people never even realize her little flaw. As i type this, she is laying on my lap, her head resting on her green, squeaky bone. I never would have thought I could love a little dog SO much. Even though she has one eye, and outgrew her estimated weight (my girl comes in at a plump 10 pounds!) she is my pride and joy. (And she'll be getting a pirate costume for halloween -- complete with an eye patch!!)

| I am new here, so I don't know your baby from 'before' but I have seen many dogs with only one eye and it sure doesn't bother me, or my kids. They think it is rather cool (boys!). I think a pirate for halloween will be super darling and I can't wait to see pics!!

| Welcome back! I have one that's almost 10 pounds! He's the sweetest little boy. I'm happy to hear that your Sophie has recovered from her tragic ordeal. That must have been horrible for you and her. I'm sure you baby her more now than ever. You two probably have a special bond since that accident, that you may not have had before. Good to have you back!

| I guess i'm just like every other mom with a child who is different, i just want her to be accepted! She's even more spoiled now, because she gets extra love and attention. I don't think she minds ONE BIT!

| Welcome back and glad to hear Sophie is doing well, even after the loss of her eye. Good to see you keep a sense of humor -- the pirate idea for Halloween is great! A little Jackie Sparrow! It is amazing how much love these little ones can generate. Rocky just walked through the room with my son's Baseball Showcase application in his mouth. I had to make a short run to rescue it. But he still managed to con me out of some loving (or was it the other way around?) Pls post pictures once you get her little outfit all on for Halloween!
