| Going Camping. Advice? I am takings Rocky camping for 3 days. Its his first 3 day outing into the wild. I am getting him the anti tic drops, ones that go on his neck. A small flash light for the collar, so I can see him at night. Am I missing anything? |

| We have a curly spike, like a big corkscrew that screws into the ground, then we attach an extra long lead on it, Alfie has plenty of freedom and can't run off following his nose. Bought it in the petshop. He also has a doggy water bottle, so wherever we go he has fresh water, will do a pic of it for you later. Very handy when you want to sit back and chill for a while. |

| I second the stake/tie out. Remember a doggy towel & doggy wipes if you use those - I always bring those in case they get really wet & need to go into a camper/their crate, tent, etc. Hope you have a good time!

You may also want to bring a towel to dry him off if he gets wet (I forgot this last trip!) Don't forget toys to keep him occupied.

| Keep baby on a leash, there are too many smells and new things out there for them to go running after.

YT 500 Club Member | Snickers loves to camp! I always take his leash (that's like 50 feet or so) and his doggie car seat if we go four wheeling (we have one of those Rhinos, that he can sit in the trunk or whatever it is)

I want one so Jackson can out pretty far when I'm at home and walking him around. We live on 3 acres un-fenced. I had a 26 foot retractable leash but that was the longest I could find. And it just broke... figures.

| We are leaving in the morning for a camping trip to New Mexico. Murfee has gone camping with us since he was a baby. Richard says he has over 37,000 miles on him. He LOVES it. I don't tie Murfee out by himself because I am afraid of bird preditors. We are always with him. Have fun.

| Remember to take bottled water for Rocky to drink. Also, take his immunization records. I always like to know where any vets are located. Having your vets phone number would be a good idea also. Have fun. |
