| Yes it is normal behavior. He will need to be fixed in order to curtail this behavior, and sometimes, this does not always stopped them from humping . Even females will hump . Just do not allow him to try to ever hump you .

| Rockie humps a build a bear my daughter gave him, I've seen him hmp his blankies also. He needs to be neutered also. But like mcat said, it's no gurantee that they stop if the get neutered. I take away the bear and tell him no.

| Nico isn't neutered but he hardly ever humps anything! He might try when a stranger comes over...but that's basically it. And he never tries to hump Winnie, our Cocker...hmm...is he normal???

| He is very normal, I have people telling me Rockie needs neutering and he will be; I have to convince my unaware daughter of this. Nico is showing traits of most boy dogs and some girls too. I would not worry over it, especially if you plan to get him neutered.

| I hope this is normal, my female 6 months old) is wild about humping my male puppies bed. She gets so excited sometimes it wears her out and she sleeps. My vet told me she is trying to prove who is the alpha dog.

| He's over a year old now, isn't he? Why are you waiting to neuter him? Undesirable male behavior gets worse the second year. In a few years, when he hits middle age at about six, he will be at a greater risk for prostate problems like infection, enlargement, and testicular cancer. Why not just neuter him? |

| I have a 2 yr.old female that humps her toys all the time. They tell me for her it's more of an domiance act rather than sexual. I'm not sure about male dogs..sorry. I've heard that getting them neutered can help.

| I have a little boy and he is 7 months old and he humps this stuffed monkey that we gave him, he will be getting nutered hopfully next month when we have the money, we have alittle girl now and she is going on 4 months so don't want him to get to her. She will be getting fixed when she reaches 6 months as well.

| Bubba (neutered) enjoys an after dinner hump of his bed every night. Never after breakfast-only after dinner.

| Humping My dog was a big time humper until I got him fixed a 1 yr. Now he does not hump at all. As far as I know there is no harm in their humping. It is just that us humans do not like them to do it. |
