| How long does a heat cycle last? Do you know how long a heat cycle last and can a heat make her gain some weight? I took Lexi to the vet last week to make an appointment to have her baby K-9 teeth pulled and she weighed 5lbs 6ozs then yesterday she weighed 5lbs 11ozs.

A heat cycle last 3 weeks, 1 week coming, 1 week in, and 1 week out. I would think that they would be just like us and put on a little water weight during that time.

| Yep, it's three weeks! They do gain weight, But it comes off the fourth week. Princess is in heat now, she has to have her tummy rubbed all day! She gets her way all the time, but when she's in heat, there's no question, it's her way, she sure has the look to get what ever it is she wants. Gotta love her! She's all girl! Hope Lexi is feeling better! It's been a hard month for her! Take Care! ((((((( Lexi)))))))) sending hugs! Gina & Princess |

| Thanks so much for all your help, both weights were taken at the vets office. Thanks for the scale tip Gina, you are not kidding about little face. Lexi always has to be right by me, but lately it's been even worse. I can't even pee without her standing on her hind legs crying to be held. She is so rotten...
