Hi, I'm new to this site, but it's easy to see that it is loaded with very nice people who really love their pets. We are looking to purchase a yorkie puppy to add to our family without having to travel hundreds of miles. We only have people in our family right now. We live in Owensboro, Ky. Would like to get a really pretty female, short nose, eyes more to the middle than the sides. Don't need a champion dog, but would like a girl who we might be able to breed one time, just to have had the experience and maybe keep another puppy as a companion. Would like to be able to register dogs and would like to get a reputable breeder(along with a puppy), who would be willing to guide us through the process. We might not even breed the puppy at all, but if we did, we would like to be selective about who she bred with so that puppies continue to be good caliber dogs that people would love. Whew...that was alot for a first posting, but I would really appreciate any help.

We have great people on here who can guide you and answer any questions you may have. There are breeders, regular pet owners, and many more, we all will be willing to help in anything with in our reach. With all respect though I think you really must read and do a lot of reaserch before you even have the word breed in your mind. Welcome again.

Just want to emphasize, when we do get a puppy, breeding is just a thought at this point. I know that irresponsible people who just up and decide to breed dogs are just trouble waiting to happen. I am an RN and would never put my own pet in harms way just for the fun of it. I want to have a Yorkie, but I am not in any kind of a rush. I want to be prepared for a new puppy, which is why I am asking for input, and you are right, I would do much research before breeding. Thanks for all the kind responses.
